[A/N] I stopped writing Axel/Roxas for a little bit and I've been working on Hayner/Roxas for 1sentence. That pairing rules my world, but Axel/Roxas won't let itself die. That's okay because I don't want it to, ever. Anyway. I'm worried this doesn't make sense! I'm on some heavy duty pain killers atm so I'm really drowsy and not really thinking [or seeing! *blinkblinkblink*] straight, but that won't stop me writing! Please comment, I'm really worried about this one. lol LOVE YOU KIDS WHO COMMENT ♥


Watching. Waiting. It was all Axel ever seemed to do. It was all he did in the beginning - and it would be all he did in the end.

When Roxas first joined the Organization, Axel sat back and observed the newbie. He immediately took a liking to the short blond, despite the fact Number XIII did not yet know him. It was unclear to him exactly what drew him to this kid, but he definitely felt something pulling in his chest.

If they passed each other in the hallways, Axel would smile and Roxas would glare. Every time he heard the boy speak, every time he felt the boy’s eyes on him a fire would burn inside of him and make him feel alive. When they would meet, this fire would increase, filling Axel’s emptiness and completing him.

Yet it would not fill Roxas with anything. Axel sometimes wondered if he only kept up with it for him. Whatever the answer was, he would not care because he was selfish. He knew this was his answer, because whether or not they ever completed Kingdom Hearts, he was complete.

And now he stands, watching his fire; his passion; his completeness. Watching as Roxas turned his back on him; turned his back on the Organization - turned his back on everything he knew. Watching as everything Axel cared about walked away from him to find his own answers and his own completeness.

And Axel did not stop him. He wanted Roxas to feel what he did - if they were together or not. He watched from afar as Roxas’ back disappeared through a portal and he wished the best for his friend and for his lover.

Axel stared at the spot where Roxas had disappeared and wondered if the blond would ever come return to him. He felt his body grow cold as the hours went by and a freezing rain doused the dying embers within him. Shivering, cold and empty - Axel was once again incomplete.
