[A/N] Uh. It's 4:30 AM and I am at a friend's house. . . I never sleep at friend's houses. So here I am, typing up some stuff. Uh. Yeah. Concidering the time, I am not sure how good this is, but I think I like it. Watch me wake up and re-read it in the middle of the day and go "whuuuut? D:" I am really buzzed on Diet Dr. Pepper. 8D I ♥ comments. :)


”Let’s meet in the next life,” the redhead panted as he slowly faded away. His head hung defeatedly as his amazingly emerald eyes looked up in his direction. A smile played across his lips that was wicked, knowing, and. . . familiar.

It scared Roxas to know that this man probably knew a lot more about him than he himself would ever remember. He could feel his memories tugging at the back of his mind of the time he knew Axel as well. Roxas did not return the smile as a scene of a past life played in his head.

”You can’t turn on the Organization! They’ll destroy you!” Axel pushed himself from where he leaned on the wall as the shorter blond walked past.

“No one would miss me,” he paused for only a moment, not even bothering to take a last look at his best friend before continuing on his way.

“That’s not true!” Roxas heard Axel say, as the black and green and yellow of the portal engulfed him. “I would. . .”

“Yeah,” he said flatly to Axel. He sympathised with the redhead who seemed desperate to get his best friend back, but that Roxas was long since gone. Giving the lonely nobody at least this promise was the least he could do.

“Silly,” Axel said and laughed lightly, almost childishly. His smile never faltered as he continued to fade away. “Just because YOU have a next life. . .”

And with that, the skinny redhead sank into the black and green around his feet and vanished. Roxas would not see him again, nor would he ever realise that ‘best friends’ was just to put the relationship he and Axel shared lightly.
